Corps member and four teachers kidnapped in Rivers State

As stated by Vanguard News, gunmen kidnapped a Corps member  in Government Secondary School, Agba-Ndele in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State on Monday 12th October, 2015.

According to Vanguard, a source in the school stated that the gunmen invaded the school premises and made away with more than four teachers around 11am.

the source has it that  one of them who was beaten mercilessly and fatally wounded by the kidnappers was  later found by the river bank.

A resident of Agba-Ndele community, who said that his cousin was among the victims regretted that the kidnappers had to do this to poor teachers who were rendering service to the nation. According to him, no contact has been established with the kidnappers.

This resulted to shutting down of all academic activities in the school.

Similarly, Mother to one of the abducted teachers, Mrs. Mbadike has pleaded for the unconditional release of her daughter, Mrs. Ogechi, adding that her daughter’s health is not fit for tension.

The Rivers State Police command has confirmed the development, stressing that efforts are being made to secure their unconstitutional release.

Public Relations Officer of the command, DSP Ahmad Mohammad who reached Vanguard via text message confirmed that a corps member and two female teachers were among the victims.
